CHILDCARE ARRANGEMENTS 30TH MARCH 2020 – 3RD APRIL 2020

 

In order to limit the spread of COVID-19, Ysgol y Grango is determined to do everything possible to keep our community safe. We want to thank each and every one of our parents for heeding government advice and, for those able to do so, keeping children at home. We are facing a national crisis which, unfortunately, directly affects all of us and our loved ones.

However, if we all do our part and continue to follow the advice we are given by taking every opportunity to limit the spread of this disease, hopefully we can return to some normality sooner rather than later.

This week, we have been caring for children of vital key workers. (Please see the latest Welsh Government advice on key workers on our website.)

As I have said, we have been urged by the UK and Welsh governments to take every opportunity to limit the spread of this disease. In order to comply with this request, Ysgol y Grango will only be open on Tuesday, 31st March and Friday, 3rd April next week. We will be closing our doors on Monday, 30th March, Wednesday 1st April and Thursday, 2nd April.

We have not taken this decision lightly and have only done so as we have no uptake from key worker parents requesting childcare arrangements on these three days. Closing our doors on these three days will mean that we will be able, in line with government guidelines, to avoid unnecessary travel and social contact and be part of the national effort to beat this virus.
